Center to Improve Veteran Involvement in Care (CIVIC)
CIVIC HSR Center Expert and Stakeholder Forum
The HSR Center Expert and Stakeholder Forum (CESF) assists COIN leadership in reviewing progress toward goals and objectives, ensuring that CIVIC’s Strategic Plan continues to be relevant and aligned with the priorities of partners to produce research to improve the health and healthcare of Veterans, and providing input on potential changes to CIVIC operations. The CESF provides input on overcoming unanticipated obstacles, capitalizing on new opportunities, and facilitating dissemination of research products and communications among CIVIC investigators and VA leadership. CIVIC’s CESF includes representatives from each of CIVIC’s operational partners’ offices, VA Portland Health Care System’s primary academic affiliate (Oregon Health & Science University, or OHSU), research content and implementation experts, VA Portland Health Care System Associate Chief of Staff for Research & Development, VA Portland Health Care System Chief of Staff, and several Veterans from the community.
